In addition to our music-focused scholarships, The Jazz Hamilton Arts Foundation offers specialized scholarships for Hispanic women pursuing studies in organizational leadership and business. Recognizing the importance of representation and empowerment in leadership roles, this scholarship provides financial support and resources for Hispanic women to pursue higher education and advance their careers in fields traditionally underrepresented by women of Hispanic heritage. By investing in their education and leadership development, we aim to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion, empowering women to enact positive change in their communities and beyond.
The Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez Hispanic Women Empowerment Scholarship, a key component of our Scholarships Program, is designed to provide financial support and educational opportunities for talented Hispanic women aged 20 and older pursuing an academic degree in organizational leadership, business administration, or music business. While special consideration will be given to those pursuing a degree in music business, all applicants pursuing degrees in organizational leadership and business administration will be equally valued and considered based on their merit, leadership, and community involvement.
Each year, the Jazz Hamilton Arts Foundation awards scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to selected qualifying Hispanic women meeting the criteria and requirements of the Scholarship Program. In addition, we present the prestigious $10,000 President’s Scholarship Award in honor of our President, Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez. This special award is given to one outstanding qualifying Hispanic Woman pursuing a degree in organizational leadership, business administration, or music business who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement.
The Jazz Hamilton Arts Foundation is dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion for Hispanic women in the fields of organizational leadership, business administration, and music business through the Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez Hispanic Women Empowerment Scholarship and the President’s Scholarship Award. By providing financial support and educational opportunities for both emerging talents and distinguished leaders, we aim to empower Hispanic Women to excel academically and professionally. Through these scholarship programs, we celebrate the potential of Hispanic Women to become influential leaders, role models, and advocates for change in their communities. Whether pursuing the Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez Hispanic Women Empowerment Scholarship or the prestigious President’s Scholarship Award, all applicants are valued for their unique contributions, leadership, and active involvement in community service.

Esteemed Friends,
The Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez Hispanic Women Empowerment Scholarship is profoundly meaningful to me. It stands as a testament to my unwavering commitment to shatter the glass ceiling that often restricts Hispanic women from accessing higher education, achieving professional advancement, and embracing social inclusivity.
I intimately understand the challenges and obstacles faced by Hispanic women on their journey to success. As a minority female teenager and English language learner in high school, I endured hostility, bullying, and discrimination—experiences that ignited my lifelong passion for advocating human rights for Hispanic youth. These early adversities fortified my resolve to confront inequities, instilling in me a deep-seated determination and purpose that has guided my advocacy for Hispanic women’s rights throughout my career.
My vision for this scholarship is anchored in the belief that every Hispanic woman deserves the opportunity to thrive and excel, regardless of her background or circumstances.
Let us join hands to create a brighter future for Hispanic women as leaders in America. Together, we can forge a path of empowerment and excellence.
With heartfelt gratitude,
DR. ELIZABETH HERNANDEZ
