Jazz Hamilton is a Puerto Rican saxophonist, musical director, and composer. He is known for his recordings of classical, jazz, Latin jazz, smooth jazz, and salsa genres. Artist Jazz Hamilton has toured all over the world as lead alto sax player for artists such as Tito Puente and Giovanni Hidalgo, as well as performing with Sammy Davis Jr., Hilton Ruiz, and Red Rodney. In addition, Jazz Hamilton was musical director for Marvin Santiago, Domingo Quiñones, and Andy Montañez.
Jazz Hamilton launched his soloist career in 1990 releasing his first solo album, Solar Rain, followed by Fantasy, Love in D Minor, and Inolvidable. In 2000 he toured as Hamilton y Las Estrellas Del Pueblo, an original concept of our Founder that revives the traditional salsa music of the 1960s to 1980s. In 2008 the album Hamilton Y Las Estrellas Del Pueblo was released. Jazz Hamilton never abandoned his classical formation, continuously performing classical pop repertoire in performances with the Real Symphony, Singapore Symphony, Florence Symphony, Ottawa Symphony, and The Perth Symphony to mention a few.
Moreover in 2008, his album My Soul was featured on the cover and main story page of Latin Beat Magazine, August edition. In 2011, Hamilton took a break from long tours to dedicate more time to the research, design and development of his own brand of professional saxophones. After two years of hard work, the Revolution 65 Saxophone was born. In 2014, Jazz Hamilton released “Within Jazz And Romance” (Entre Jazz Y Romance) for the AKUSTIK Records. After touring most of the year 2015, Mr. Hamilton went back to the studio and recorded the Album entitled “ADAGIO”.
From 2017 to 2019, Jazz Hamilton worked on his album entitled “NOCTURNE”, and his “CARNEVALE” tour performing in Europe, Southern Asia, and Australia. The Album “NOCTURNE” was set to drop in 2020, but due to the pandemic it was put on hold and only a single was released. The single “SMILE” was dropped in March 2021 and also included a musical video. Jazz Hamilton rendition of Chaplin’s SMILE is about coming together, and collectively uniting our hearts, energy, prayers, and solidarity to stand as one remembering and writing the next chapter of our lives amidst crisis, pain, and uncertainty — BUT NEVER AGAIN ALONE! In the words of our Founder Jazz Hamilton, “The video showcases that we are all one people. . . All together one beating heart! Moreover, we are all connected through our feelings, close and far, united through the power of love, music, and hope in every near and distant land!”
